Connection doesn‘t come from being the perfect. It comes from being your true self in every situation you encounter.

True healing happens when you combine your mind, body and energetic system.

If you want to be loved for who you truly are you have to show others that version first. And that starts with accepting yourself.

Being connected to others is something that didn‘t always come easily to me. You know the books you read when you were a kid, or the films you watched and the main character somehow always has a best friend who would go through thick and thin for her? That‘s something I always craved to have. To have someone who just gets me. Who knows all my stuff but loves me anyway. Someone who‘d be there for me no matter what. That I could rely on for everything and anything.

Yet somehow it was the one thing that no matter what I did, I just wasn‘t able to get. And believe me, I tried it all:

Trying to be that friend for others?
Staying quiet?
Being there for others?

I tried all of these things (and more) - yet the one thing that got lost over time was just being myself.

I was so focused on being the perfect friend, the perfect daughter, the perfect sister - that I left myself somewhere along the line. I outsourced my power so much, I couldn‘t have even told you who I was anymore beyond my name.

And that was really freaking scary. Because if you‘ve put yourself on the back-über for such a long time that you can‘t even say who you are, what you want out of life or even how you feel about certain situations… it kind of puts things into perspective.

Once I figured that out I went on an intense healing journey where I slowly rediscovered who I really am. What I want to do with this life. And how I can fulfill every desire that is on my heart.

And one of the most important things I learned was simply… being myself. The moment you start being your true self in relationships, in connections is the moment you start meeting people who are supposed to be in your life.

It‘s not about becoming the perfect version of you for someone else, sacrificing yourself in the meantime, but about becoming the truest version of you, for yourself.
